Document Controller

JOB PURPOSE
Deliver comprehensive document control and records management services that prioritise accuracy, traceability and compliance, ensuring project documentation supports design and construction workflows.
Be responsible for the management, control and distribution of project documentation across a diverse portfolio of built environment projects throughout the Middle East.
Support project delivery from inception through handover whilst ensuring document integrity, version control and compliance with project information management standards.
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, Construction Management or related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in document control within a construction, engineering or consultancy environment.
Strong knowledge of document management principles and quality assurance processes.
Proficiency in document control software such as:
Aconex
SharePoint
BIM 360 / ACC
Documentum or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Understanding of ISO 19650 and information management standards.
Familiarity with UAE / GCC construction industry practices and documentation requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain document control procedures, registers and filing systems across all projects.
Create and update:
Document registers and transmittals
Drawing registers and revision control
Correspondence logs and distribution matrices
Manage document submission, review and approval workflows.
Ensure version control and distribution of documents to relevant stakeholders.
Maintain electronic and physical document archives.
Support quality assurance and audit processes.
Ensure compliance with project information management plans and standards.
PROJECT DELIVERY
Deliver document control services in accordance with agreed project programmes.
Participate in project coordination and document review meetings.
Coordinate document deliverables with multidisciplinary design teams.
Attend project reviews and quality checks.
Support tender and construction documentation preparation through accurate document control.
Contribute to successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects through effective document management.
