JOB PURPOSE

• Deliver mechanical designs that prioritize safety, durability, and performance, ensuring longevity and operational efficiency.

• Apply sustainable engineering practices by integrating water-saving technologies, eco-friendly materials, and energy-efficient systems. Recommend green solutions to clients and stakeholders, emphasizing long-term environmental and economic benefits.

• Contribute to the successful execution of projects.

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field

• Membership of a professional institution (CIBSE, ASHRAE, IMechE or equivalent).

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Mechanical Building Services Design.

• Strong knowledge of local UAE / GCC codes and regulations related to Mechanical system design.

• Proficiency in design software such as

  • Revit and AutoCAD

  • HAP

  • IES Virtual Environment

  • Hevacomp

GENERAL EXPECTANCY

• Significant experience and advanced competencies.

• Able to work independently on complex tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Undertake mechanical engineering calculations and system design for all project stages from concept through detailed design.

• Develop designs for:

  • HVAC systems

  • Chilled water systems

  • Ventilation systems

  • Smoke management systems

• Produce technical reports, calculations and engineering studies.

• Support equipment selection and system sizing.

• Develop energy-efficient and sustainable engineering solutions.

• Ensure designs comply with project briefs and client requirements.

PROJECT DELIVERY

• Deliver mechanical engineering design packages in accordance with project programmes.

• Support project managers in achieving project objectives and deadlines.

• Coordinate design activities with internal and external stakeholders.

• Attend client, design and coordination meetings.

• Participate in workshops, technical reviews and value engineering exercises.

• Contribute to successful project delivery across multiple simultaneous projects.
