Job Purpose:

• To lead the delivery of pre-contract cost management services across multiple projects, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality commercial outputs aligned with the client requirements.

• The role provides commercial and cost management expertise, supports successful project delivery, maintains effective client relationships, and contributes to the commercial success, operations excellence, and growth of the cost management division.

• To support post-contract cost management services if required.

Qualification/Experience:

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or Contracrs related field

• Ideally qualified to MSc degree level with relevant academic or with post academic professional qualifications to carry out the role

• Minimum 4 to 8 years of professional experience

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of cost management activities including project delivery, forecasting, invoicing and resource management.

• Deliver cost management services including preparation of cost estimates, cost reporting, tender documentation, contract administration, claims review and final accounts.

• Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients.

• Pipeline and invoicing management for Cost Management projects under your management.

• Independently manage and resolve complex project issues.

• Lead project management function AESG-wise (internal AESG project management NOT client project management)

• Lead and implement AESG business development within the sector of expertise.

• Contribute to the commercial success and stability of the cost management division.

• Prepare and support bid pricing, negotiation, and proposal submissions if required.

• Delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments.

• Assuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player.

• Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects, liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control.

• Undertaking cost management services with limited supervision.

• Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.

• Support development of procedures to improve division function and efficiency.
