Job Purpose

  • Execute the design of projects responsibly and independently.

  • Deliver façade design services for AESG projects.

  • Manage the Egyptian Design team in the day-to-day execution of tasks assigned by the Dubai Office.

  • Shortlist key staff requirements and potential candidates for the Egyptian Façade Design Team.

Qualification / Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or equivalent.

  • A minimum of 8 years of façade design and engineering experience.

  • Proven depth of knowledge in façade design.

  • Understand AESG’s liabilities and interests of various stakeholders within the project.

  • Proven expertise in Design Software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Rhino/Grasshopper.

Responsibilities

  • Façade design engineering and build-ability consultancy, including material knowledge and installation techniques.

  • Independently manage complex design tasks and resolve complex project issues.

  • Provide technical guidance, support, and mentoring to the Egyptian Façade Designers.

  • Liaise with builders, architects, and engineers to ensure projects meet the design brief.

  • Resource management and administration.

  • Assign tasks to the Egyptian Design Team.

  • Mentor junior members and be responsible for their technical development.

  • Deliver tasks and projects on-time and to budget.

  • Liaise with the Dubai Off-shore lead on and coordinate project according to criticality and complexity.

  • Manage all QA/QC of Egyptian deliverables back to the Dubai design office.
